So today I overheard a nurse talking about a his experience working in the ER and what he’s seen over the years to another nurse. He gave some examples of the patients he seen. One example he said “a couple years ago there was this little girl, not even a year old who passed away she was sick and was miss diagnosed, her parents kept taking her back and forth from to Hospital A and Hospital B. By the time she got to us (hospital b) it was too late she was very, very sick. She had died from a laryngopharyngeal abscess.“ When he said what the girl died from I instantly knew exactly who he was talking about! This little girl just happened to be my Niece! It upset me, I told him that was my niece he was talking about and I walked out. Also how would he know how exactly she past away if we didn’t find out the cause of death until the corner did an autopsy? That’s the only place where the cause of death is listed.
