I (25M) recently moved to a new country and have been using Hinge for a couple of months. Getting dates is not really an issue, I went on about 7 dates. I had a really nice time during 6 of them. For each of these 6, the response I got after date was "I had a good time, but more as friends". I took this as their way of saying they were not interested, so I dropped it there. After the latest date I went on, I got the same response. But this time, she was actually insisting that we continue hanging out as friends. So I assume there is indeed a friendly vibe, and this may have contributed to not getting a 2nd date atleast for some dates if not all. For reference, my physical traits are somewhat conventionally attractive and during the dates, I try to initiate some physical contact and flirt but I don't sense it being reciprocated so I don't push it further.
I have never faced this in my life, am I missing out on some cultural aspects of the new country? I have completely lost the confidence to go on more first dates, any advice would be highly appreciated
