I (28F) matched with a guy (33M) in December, and we've had dates almost every week (probably a little over 15?) and texted daily. We both went exclusive, held hands, and were intimate (no sex, though). I was head over heels for this guy.
We had several fights, and he sent me a breakup text saying he didn't think we could work out. I thought it was an issue of miscommunication where it could be sorted out, but he thought it was a more significant issue of compatibility.
Is it normal to feel this sad for a short-term OLD relationship? The amount of sadness and emptiness is comparable to how I felt with my previous break-ups from my past long-term relationships.
Any tips on how to do OLD without getting too emotionally attached? I am relatively new to OLD, so this experience crushes my hopes.
