Hey everyone! Been on Hinge since December, kinda brand new to dating, and find myself typically getting one match a week. I (27M) who has Christian shown as their religious beliefs, just matched with someone (27F) who also identifies as Christian last night after I liked one of their prompts. She sent the first two messages while I was driving to rehearsal and I didn't get the chance to see them until I got back home last night. The first message was a typical "Hi ----" with a smiley emoji followed by her saying that she liked my profile and that she also won't shut up about the TV show The Last of Us, referring to one of my prompts.

I replied back by greeting her along with the same emoji and before acknowledging her interest in the same show, I mentioned how I liked her profile too and told her about how I'm focusing on strengthening my own faith and my relationship with God, only because she had a prompt saying that she wants someone that will support her in her faith. It's now the following night and still no response from her. I have a nasty habit of overthinking things a lot of times, but should I have even brought up our shared faiths this early in a conversation or saved that for the first meet up? I've had successful conversations like this with matches on Hinge and Upward (I know it's a Christian dating app but still) and it's usually never a turn-off. Oh, well. At least this gives me time to get caught up on the season finale if she does end up replying.

EDIT: Hey y’all! Thanks for being so supportive and reassuring these past few days. I actually did end up hearing back from that girl and it turns out she was super busy and just saw my response. She actually liked what I had to say and mentioned how hard it is to find people on hinge with the same value of faith like mine. We’re now in the midst of a conversation. Pray for me that everything goes well guys :)
