Hi everyone,
I'm a Latino living in Los Angeles who has found a lot of refuge in Hinduism and meditation and just the entire practice in general. I know the practice comes from India but I can't help but feel such a strong connection to it....and I was wondering how other Hindus feel about race within the practice and/or if there were other Latinxs in the area that know of a place where you feel comfortable practicing?
I know Hinduism is so diverse and people of various races/cultures practice it, but I couldn't help but feel when I visited a temple here in the city, that I was intervening or could not relate immediately with the majority of Indian folks there. I have so much respect for the practice and culture that I don't want to come off as someone ignorant, disrespectful.
I guess I'm just wondering if there are places/spaces in the city that is open to beginners?
