How do you worship Lord Shiva?

What are good offerings to Lord Shiva. What are sins that the Lord disapproves.
Let me shine some light on my situation, I live in a town where everyone is mainly Catholic; so no temples are in my town. But also no store that I know that cells statue's, other than Catholic saints. So since I don't really have a statue, not have anything in else. So can you still worship Lord Shiva, (since I do really have the 'tools' to do so) At least for the time being, thank you
