hiking alternatives for knee pain

so i ruined my knee's from skiing way back when i was young. I truly love the mountains but I've sadly lost my ability to hike properly in them, i can only do max 18 miles or so before pain slowly sets in and lasts for weeks before getting any better, so long multiple day hikes are out of my reach (even with two hiking canes like an old man and a UL pack)

However i recently got a packraft that i can use to hike/paddle and thus extend my trips to 18miles total any body of water, but sadly that there are few mountain lakes were im from to use it on.

But the packraft got me thinking, is there any other way to move in the mountain without putting any or little load on the knee?

could i "hike" on an electric bike? (slowly down and use the motor uphill full suspension)
cross country skiing but with only using my arms?
any other ideas?
