I went up to Mt. Charleston to see how the weather, trails, parking, nature was going to be. Saw a lot of snow and ice than expected so I bought ice spikes for shoes? Don't know the exact name but it's an item that goes under shoes to help with traction on ice, snow, and slippery terrain. It's only going to get worse as the temperatures drop here.
I just want to know what things I should pack for a hike. I havent hiked before at all and would love any advice and input. I don't even have a backpack or anything. All I have is clothes to keep me warm and whatever those things that go on my shoes are haha.
Tldr: Need help figuring out what items I need to bring/buy for a snowy/icy hiking trail.
