I have a Garmin 700i already so I don't need GPS in the watch. Just want a long life battery watch without phone connectivity or smartphone features. Waterproof, compass, maybe a flashlight for late night bathroom?, That's about it. I see a lot of the Garmin watches are loaded up, but I don't want any of that extra stuff. Solar would be great but if not battery powered is fine. Any suggestions?
Oh this fits the bill actually. But yeah not the $200. I found a similar Casio. Doesn't have the altimeter and the barometric pressure though
No no. I found a Casio that fits the bill. It's under 50 bucks and has compass . No flashlight LED thing but I'm okay with that. It's waterproof and seems to have solar charging too but we'll see when I get it. What I mean frills is all the extra bits like GPS and smartwatch features and messaging etc

Yeah I tried that but it's very fiddly when you're dealing with rain and sleet and a backpack. I just want something on my wrist I can refer to quickly. I do have the Garmin 700i which has a compass and satellite navigation so I'm covered there. But it's a brick and heavy so don't want it in my hand the whole time. I just need something directionally for the in between.
Point noted about the frills. However, what I'm asking for is at least 25 years old I think. All the smart watches die within a day and I will be off grid and need to minimize the number of devices needing charge. I already have the garmin etc.
