Post Body

Hey all. I'm planing a hiking trip and looking for advice if I should attempt Long's Peak or not. I've been living in Arizona the last 2 years and prior am from the Midwest. I've grown up going to Rocky Mountain National Park and skiing in CO so I'm no stranger to higher altitude. However, in Arizona the elevation is around 1000 feet and I haven't been in an area with higher altitude for awhile. How many hikes should I attempt on mountains/trails with lower elevation before attempting Long's Peak or how should I best get acclimated? I'll be there for half a week. Is it even possible for me to attempt it in that short of time of getting acclimated prior?
