Post Body

I bought a lowepro backpack to carry my camera body (Sony a7r III) and a couple lenses (24-70mm and a zoom lens). Also can fit my Skydio 2 case (drone) in the laptop slot. Have an emergency multi-tool pen, a life straw/filter, nd filter pack, SD card case, extra camera batteries and usually 1 bottle of water (not doing day hikes yet, just shorter hikes). My issue is the weight and the bulk. I could leave my drone behind and just do the short hike twice, once with my camera and once with my drone. I'm very indecisive, which doesn't help lol. Another issue I have is I want to have access to both my lenses to swap quickly. So I'm wearing my backpack and I have my camera attached with a rapid shoulder strap. Should I get cases for my lenses that I can attach to the backpack shoulder strap with carabiner clips for quick access? I've tried this setup and just feel so bulky and uncomfortable... How do other photographers equip their gear for a hike?
