Experienced Trekkers and hikers who have done both, what's more challenging, the Inca Trail in Peru or the Alta Via 1 trail in Italy?

Post Body

Back in 2012, I hiked the Inca Trail and at that time, it was the most challenging hike I had done. Now, I'm a little more experienced, but with the pandemic and all, I haven't really done much multi-day backpacking in a few years. Now, a friend of mine wants to hike the Alta Via 1 (probably next year) and I was just curious as to which is considered to be the more challenging hike, in general. I've always wanted to see the Dolomites, so I'm stoked to go, so even though this is a very generalized question, any tips on training for it would be helpful as well.
