Hi Reddit,
I tried tanking when I started playing this wonderful game, and it was a disaster, so I moved to supports and assassins and it was much better. Now that I have a better understanding of the game and its roster, I am trying some tanks again.
I noticed that I do fine in teamfights: I can peel, engage, bodyblock, etc... However, I do know that the tank should be going in first during rotations, and that part of the game is still iffy for me. I know when we should go to objectives, when it's good to take a mercs camp, or when it's safe to go for a boss, but I have trouble knowing when it's ok to just push, when to cap one of the enemy's camps, and other more subtle "what do we do now?" moments.
I love watching HotS videos on Youtube (MFpally, Grubby, Nubkeks), and I take advice from them seriously, but these guys are usually more focused on explaining how to play particular heroes. Do you guys have any suggestions on what would help me understand game strategy better? Particular streamers to watch?
Anything helps, thanks!
