Another new Nova discussion thread, but with low Sodium levels
Post Body

tl;dr = do you agree that getting rid of just Gathering Power would have been fine as that seems to be the biggest cause of hate towards playing against a Nova?

I'm gonna just say now: I prefer the old Nova play style. The burst damage you had for picking of stragglers and fleeing heroes was, I assumed, the whole point of the character. The re-work feels like they made her play like any other assassin, taking away a lot of what I felt at least to be the uniqueness of the character and the playstyle. Those all or nothing Snipes that were amazing if they landed or devastating when you miss. Very rewarding.

It seems they changed her because new players haven't yet become accustomed to her trickery. Which I find to be dodgy reasoning- if new players are coming up against experienced Novas, that's a fault of match-making not the character. Hell, her burst can be frustrating for experienced players too... mostly because of Gathering Power it seems.

And even though Nova was my favourite, and my main, I will happily agree that Gathering Power was perhaps too much. So as I asked in my original question: would getting rid of Gathering Power have been enough?
