What to actually take to prepare body/cervix for labor?

Hi! I'm just over 37 weeks pregnant. Baby is sitting extremely low, I'm having lots of cramps, and I'm a half cm dilated. I've been having weird complications since about week 20 (severe and worsening pulmonary embolism symptoms but with no blood clots that can be found).

I see so many things recommended for people to take to get their body and cervix ready for labor, and I don't know what actually helps or what could be safe for me to take with my weird complications.

Medjool dates? Raspberry leaf tea? Evening primrose oil, either orally or as a vaginal suppository? Hot spices? Do these things actually do anything, or are they pop culture superstition? Are there herbs/foods/natural remedies I can take that would actually be helpful for this?

There's also a chance I'll be induced early because of the complications and baby's position. Is there anything natural I can take to try inducing (under medical supervision) that could help, before they try the pitocin? Or would make the pitocin easier on my body?

Thank you :)
