Not quite a roid, not quite a skin tag... Has anyone here had a papilla?
Post Body

I've been lucky enough to have pretty much every type of hemorrhoid out there, and the newest one is extra annoying because it's internal, but also hard to the touch and very painful. My Dr. says it's called a hypertrophied papilla and that the only treatment is removal by cauterization, but he recommends just dealing with it when it arises because the pain from removal can be pretty bad. Has anyone had one of these, and if so did you get it removed?
