I'm in a tough spot right now and urgently need to find ways to make some quick cash. Everything has gone sideways because of a job that turned out to be completely misrepresented.

When I was offered the position, I was living in an extended stay hotel in another city, three hours away, and had just four days to prepare for the move. The same day I was getting ready for this new opportunity, my car broke down—this was just one day after I had invested $2,000 in repairs. This left me with the difficult choice between further car repairs or securing an Airbnb in the town where the job was supposed to be. I ultimately chose the Airbnb, which has turned out to be a complete disappointment and nowhere near what I was expecting.

I was excited about this job, as it was supposed to be a business-to-business coordination role similar to one I had at Verizon years ago, with a mission to connect small businesses with telecommunications services. However, when I arrived, I quickly realized it was nothing like what I had been led to believe. It turned out to be a high-pressure sales gig, akin to door-to-door tactics, rather than the supportive role I had expected. Worse yet, the job is entirely commission-based, and the company takes 60% of the earnings—essentially leaving me to work for free.

After leaving an abusive relationship and relocating, I thought this job would be a stepping stone to a better life, but it has added to my struggles. Today, I have an interview at a bar, which is crucial for me to start earning money. I need to find a way to get to that interview, and after that, I plan to bartend temporarily to generate more income while I continue applying for jobs related to my degree.

I’m not asking for free money; I’m looking for opportunities to earn. I have to come up with $25 fast, by late morning in order to be able to pay for this Uber like I am completely broke now from all the stuff I finances are screwed. I have no groceries here, but I was willing to go bare minimum and barely survived just to be able to get my foot in the door and keep this amazing position I was offered that turned out to be a joke. If anyone knows of any local gigs I can pick up or whether there are any legitimate survey sites that actually pay, I would greatly appreciate that information.

Also, since I don’t have a vehicle to go load onto a card cash app or Venmo is preferred. That way I can get the Uber to get to the interview because I can’t do anything with cash anymore, nobody takes cash!

Positive vibes would also help and is very sticky situation. I have nobody in my life family nothing and if I can’t get this figured out within 30 days you able to continue to pay for housing I’m gonna be worse than I ever was without even a car to live in I need to start making money today
