Posting from desktop vs mobile device
Post Body

Admittedly new reddit user. I have managed to post from my mobile device just fine. Recently I logged in from my desktop and found that when I tried to post I was unable to do so. In the Post window there is a link at the bottom that says "Connect accounts to share your posts". When you follow that link it takes you to a user settings screen where you would tie your reddit to an apple account or a twitter or a google account. I don't have apple or twitter and I don't particularly want to tie the reddit account to a google account. Why am I able to post from mobile with out having to do this and how can I side step this so as to be able to post from the desktop?
