Link Karma not showing up?

I submitted a Life Pro Tip a week or so ago and got a bunch of Karma... like over a thousand. Made my entire month, yet, when I look at my username in the top right, the Karma from my post is not included. Why and how is this possible? Usually it (the comment karma - link karma) gets updated in real time. Very confused and upset too :(
