selecting part of a post

so has there been some kind of update or something on selecting parts of a comment or post? like, before i would long click the text and it would let me copy/highlight whatever it was, it would open a window w options. now i can’t do that anymore, when i long click posts nothing happens and when i long click comments it just closes them. was that changed? is my phone tripping?
