Someone stole my email and set up a Reddit

Hi. Im getting emails at my home on an account I just created three weeks ago to deal with unemployment, healthcare and job search stuff. Suddenly I am getting emails from Reddit with updates from subreddit real estate groups. I went to the persons profile, sent a message and then to test the water, I reported them for self harm. Sure enough 5 minutes later I got an email saying an anonymous Redditor is concerned…blah blah blah. Who or where do I go for help with uncoupling this narediwell which has absconded with my email identity?
