Existing chats showing up as requests.

Every so often (like once a month) I have several existing chats show up as chat requests. These are chats with conversation history from both parties, but they reappear as requests. Pressing "Accept" does nothing. Can't send another message. Can't seem to communicate with these users through chat at all.
Anyone have a solution to this?
