Hello! My bff of three years lives near enough to me that I see her several times most weeks. She loves Hebrew and prefers speaking it as it’s her mother tongue. I know a few small words here and there.
I thought it would be a nice surprise to learn Hebrew without her knowing so I can surprise her.
She wants to start dating again soon, get married and have a family. She wants Hebrew to be the language spoken in her home. I’d love to speak to her future babies in a way that honors all her dreams.
That all said I am so lost! Ugh, I bought a bunch of books, but I think I need a tutor or a class.
I’m not Jewish so I don’t know my options or if I’m even overstepping and being rude.
Google is, gosh, so overwhelming too.
Any resources, ideas, or even letting me know this is a rude thing to do if it is I am all ears.
Thank you so much.
