Greetings, please educate me. I understand the basics of a heat pump system as used in an HVAC situation. I'm wondering if there are any heat pump style systems for cooling domestic water for our house. In the summer, the coldest tap water we get is around 74ºF. We always have a carafe of water in the fridge, but it would be most excellent to have cold tap water everywhere, including the shower. I've seen industrial water chillers, but we dont need 40,000 gallons of ice water. It would be ideal to be able to cool the water to around 40ºF. Are there any heat pumps for this purpose?
