Hopefully Oladipo will recover well and get back to or close to his best form. Considering he was averaging 20 ppg in Houston on one good leg, I think there is a good chance he can reach that level with us.
Now how would he fit in our rotation? Do we start him? At his best he is obvioisly better than robinson which makes it hard to leave him out and boy our defense would be the league best. Would we sacrifice spacing Robinson provides? Would it be better to have him and herro run the second unit although I am not sure a player of his status would like that.
Then I wonder about the future. He has higher goals than 5 million per year so if he does regain his form I am guessing he would be too expensive to resign but could we do a sign and trade?
I think we’re underestimating how valuable it is to have a player like Oladipo ready to be inserted in if any of our guards goes down. Especially valuable in the playoffs.
