HOI2 and why i can't play anything else

so this is just a quick question really.
anybody else stuck on HOI2? like i've tried to play 3. and i didn't like it, the system was changed so radically from my perspective that it wasn't as enjoyable.
am i alone in feeling this way? or is there anybody else still playing HOI2 and all it's expacks/mods instead of moving on to 3 and 4.
