Itâs a hard truth that most have already figured out. You can try and be optimistic and say that âEvery class is in the meta now!â but what is the one deck that is good in those classes? Druid? Hadronox for 3 mana, fair card. Warlock? 6 mana 12/36 taunt that restores 8 heath to your hero, absolulty busted. Preist? 6 mana 4/4 that summons a 12/12 most of the time, canât be played around and unfun. Paladin? Hunter? Rogue? All Tempo/Aggro that no one like to play against. Things need to change from âwho can cheat out the biggest minion-stoneâ or âwho can draw their death knight first-stoneâ And with the standard year, itâs just gotten worse. You canât get Câthun or Yogg off of a 10-cost Spiteful draw, which was bad enough to keep those decks in check, but now the worst is a 7/14 Beast, so there is no bad result. Itâs just a 6 mana for 10 mana worth of stats. Cubes have been completely broken for a while and wonât be leaving for a while either. I honestly could fill a page on how unfair, uninteractive, and unfun that deck as a whole is to play against. The worst of it all is, none of you care. Youâre just going to say: âItâs not unfair if you can play it too, just play Cubeâ or something like that. To them I say, do you remember why you got into Hearthstone? For me at least it was the deckbuilding. The ingenuity that went into designing a well oiled machine to get the job done, no matter how silly the idea or combo was. Thatâs what made me (and Iâm going to guess a lot of you) keep playing the game, not to see how many times I could cheat to win as much as possible, but how many times I could accomplish a crazy combo or summon an impossible minion or stuff like that. That was what drove us, but the game has reached a point where the top tier decks are being found so frequently and are just so powerful, that user designed decks have zero chance to win. If you want to win, fork up the dust, look up a decklist online, and grind against people doing the same until to start winning more than losing. If you really look at what Hearthstone is, thatâs all that is going on, even in âCasualâ mode. Whoever is in charge of Hearthstone now, I beg you, mend our favorite game.
