With no context, what do you think the word “Copy” does in Hearthstone? If you used a card that said “Summon 2 copies of a minion” on an Argent Squire (1/1 Divine Sheild) that had a Blessing of Kings ( 4/ 4) cast on it but it only had 3 Health remaining and lost it’s sheild, what would you expect to see when you summon those 2 minions? Considering how other cards copy minions, it should summon 2 5/5 Argent Squires without divine shield and with 3 Health remaining. This is working as intended. Now look at Carnivorous Cube. It says this: “Battlecry: Destroy a friendly minion. Deathrattle: Summon 2 copies of it”. But instead of keeping the Health, buffs and status, it completely resummons the minion. What it really should be staying is “Deathrattle: REsummon 2 copies of it”. A similar card, Moat Lurker, also destroyed a minion only to summon it again. It’s text is “Battlecry: Destroy a minion. Deathrattle: Re-summon it” Stating that it will “resummon” the minion in its base state, of which it does. Why isn’t this the case for the cube? It seems to be yet another wording inconstancy, but what if the cube did what it said. Would Carnivorous Cube be a better card to play against if it summoned actual copies? Cubelocks have been known to trade minions and then cube them to essentially restore them to full health. Summoning actual copies means that extra strategy would be needed instead of just slamming down a cube to get instant max value. So.. should the wording change, or the mechanics?
