Quick question from a new player about Whispers of the Old Gods packs

So I just started playing today, and picked the Asia region to play on. While playing, I got a whole bunch of whispers of the old gods packs and opened them. After a few hours, I realised that I was playing on the wrong region for my country, and so switched to Americas instead. However, while playing on Americas, I didn't receive a single pack of whispers of the old golds. Is this supposed to happen?
