Hello, Hearthdome. I was hoping to get some of your thoughts on the first set of cards released by BRM. There has been so much hype around Thaussarian and people screaming over how broker it is; lots of hype around Guzzler Patron and the crazy combos it enables, Gang up and nobody knowing how to react to it, and the forgotten resurrect. I figured you all have probably play tested those cards and maybe had some thoughts to share
Personally, after giving Thaussarian a try, my opinion on it has gone down by a lot. Sure, it can enable crazy combos but it also means that you've taken a turn spending 6 mana without a significant impact on the board. Depending on the deck you are facing, this can allow big turnaround/dominating turns by the opponent.
No thoughts on Grim Patron as I haven't played enough with it to really realize how well it plays. I know there are lots of videos of combos out there, but what's you guy's actual win rate with it?
Resurrect: super RNG, but super satisfying when it works. Tbh, it just feels like a unstable portal with a controllable/limited pool of minions.
Gang Up: all I know is that every time I play priest, I run into a mill rogue and it's turned my clerics into dead draws. My first instinct says that it's good for the gimmick, but no clue as to the winrate or matchups.
Edit: I've been playing Hunter too much and forgot Quick Shot was a new card. It's like a Dark Bomb but with the potential to be better, so I have nothing but love for this card.
