I just got a pair of HD 600s - question about distortion in music
Post Body

I love these new headphones, and have been listening to tonnes of music with them.

However, I occasionally hear some distortion in music, and I am just wondering what the cause is.

For a specific example, I can hear some very significant distortion in this piano piece (from Eternal Sunchine of the Spotless Mind), especially at around 0:44 (and I hear the same distortion from every other source such as Google Play Music, too).

Could this be to do with my headphones? Is it the track itself? How can I identify when it's the headphones and when it's the track? If it is the track, how could they let this get through on such a large-scale movie? Isn't the mastering phase meant to eliminate this sort of thing? Could it be intentional?
