Hello everyone,
I wanted to know if anybody has learned standard eastern Armenian, and followed that by learning the western dialect standard? My family speaks western Armenian, and we go to an Armenian church in United States, but I have small children and want them to grow up with the ability to consume , Armenian television, news, and books among other things with ease. If there wasn’t such a scarcity of Western Armenian resources, I would just have them learn that. i myself am intermediate eastern Armenian due to taking classes when I was younger, but I wanted to know, if it is possible for me to also learn the western dialect becoming proficient in one? I don’t want to make this into a debate of which dialect is better or more “proper,” I just want to know if this is possible. Thank you!
