There’s always the tension of competing interests with the heaux and the John. I wish it wasn’t so contentious but c’est la vie. I’ve engaged with this sub and been cordial. Even when someone described stealthing a street worker, a very clear violation of consent, I simply said that he could find someone who offers that service. I’ve learned a few things from this sub and appreciate hearing the perspectives of hobbyists that go beyond your typical review board. Sex workers tend to be very protective of one another due to the nature of our work. We try to impart how necessary firm boundaries are. The street workers and the green gals don’t have that luxury/privilege and that’s where the protectiveness comes in. No need to feign pity here to mock them though. Some of them are indeed hurting.

I’m pretty active on the two main subs FSSWs are on and don’t see a lot of people promoting scamming. I think that’s a misrepresentation of them. I know the post you’re referring to though. As Langston said, it veers toward a support group of sorts.
