A Haskell which compiles to Java - Frege still the way to go?
Post Body
I'm learning Haskell but I'm programming most of my stuff in Java, so I thought Frege is a good bridge.
Is Frege still state-of-the-art or should I better look at an alternative? (If so which one?)

I think the answer is still the same though.. Interacting directly with the JVM is going to be a pain.. 99% of the time it's better to separate the things that require Java and use RPC to handle the interaction. More specific advice will depend on what exactly you're trying to do though.
