People need to remember that this game is developed mostly by WB Games, and not just Niantic. As such, the game shouldn't necessarily be a carbon copy of Pokemon Go but with Harry Potter stuff instead of Pokemon.
Just recently, I've seen people advocating for Silver keys having multiple uses like in PoGo, ignoring the fact that Silver Keys are relatively easier to get here than Incubators in PoGo (via random drops and such).
I've also seen people making rather absurd comparations for the sake of comparing something from both games, such as saying Brilliant Foundables are the HPWU equivalent of Shiny Pokemon.
Just, why? We've spent 3 years in PoGo seeing how Niantic didn't integrate key parts of the Pokemon MSG into the game... why should this game be any different?
Of course, I'd love to be proven wrong in the future updates, and let the community be able to predict what improvements are coming next, but seeing how the game is panning out to be right now, I'd not keep my hopes up.
