Book Rebinding Project (House Sets). Looking for Opinions

I'm about to start a project to rebind several sets of Harry Potter books. I'm going with house themed sets. Everything will be done in leather and vinyl, with custom book specific endsheets, and gilded pages.
If this were a gift to you, which style would you prefer to get?
- A Single Color similar to these (Edit: Could also keep the spines simple instead of this busy, but all a single color)
- Alternating Colors similar to these
Any other suggestions also welcome too!
I will be sure to post the final outcome with instructions/lessons learned along the way after I finish as well if people are interested.
