After my thirty-eighth reread of the series I've been wondering about a couple of apparent plot holes how come Lupin didn't see two Harry's and two Hermione's when he was watching the marauders map and sees Peter in PoA? They were both in and around Hagrid's cabin/house/hut at the time. In addition, was Lupin aware Hermione had a time turner, or did any other teacher besides McGonagall and Dumbledore know? Even if Lupin knew, I'm sure he still would have been confused as to why there were two Harry's as well, and why the time turner was not being used to attend a class but rather for Harry and Hermione to twice over visit Hagrid's, albeit one pair outside and one pair inside the hut/cabin/"er, house do you call this?" (quoting Lucius Malfoy). We know Lupin was watching the map when the two Harry's and two Hermione's were in/behind Hagrid's, because he says in the Shrieking Shack that he was using the map when they went down to Hagrid's, because he notices that they leave there with Wormtail. I guess canonically he probably just "doesn't notice the second Harry and Hermione" because maybe he was too focused on the Harry, Ron and Hermione that were going to Hagrid's or the appearance of Peter Pettigrew or something like that. I was also thinking, what happens to the invisibility cloak after Snape takes it off in the Shrieking Shack? Did Harry or someone pick it up when they go to leave? If not, when and how does he get it back? If he did take it when he left the Shrieking Shack, why did he not have it with him when they went back in time? We know Harry and Hermione don't use it when they travel back (which would have made not being seen much easier), but at the same time that would have created another plot hole: if they happened to have taken the cloak back with them, would that have created a duplicate cloak, since they were already using it to visit Hagrid? Would it have made the cloak with their "past" selves disappear? Would they have been able to take the cloak back in time with them, only to find that they no longer have it because it is currently with their past selves? WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO THE CLOAK?! However, I suppose we all know that the plot holes involving time travel in this story are to be expected, they're going to be there no matter what, they're just part of the way the story is told, and I certainly don't feel they detract from it in any meaningful way, I'm just curious.

ALSO I've been wondering, although I'm sure it's been asked here before, where did Voldemort keep his wand while he was in hiding? We know he had it in Albania when Wormtail brought Bertha Jorkins to him, because he used it to kill her (as proven in Goblet of Fire when Harry and Voldemort duel and her "echo" appears). Was it left on the scene in Godric's Hollow when he was blown to bits of moldy Voldy and made to be "less than the meanest ghost"? Maybe he used some dark spooky magic to bind his wand to him at all times, even when he had no body? Has JKR ever made mention of this? Those are just a couple plot holes I was wondering if JKR had ever made mention of, or if anyone had any theories regarding them. Happy reading!
