I am 32. I have been reading Harry Potter since I was 11. I read the books every few years (sometimes even different translations because I like the little wordplays some translators do) but I have never ever noticed this before, and thought I’d share. If someone has already posted about this, I do apologize.
This is from Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, chapter 3—Will and Won’t. This is a list of protective measures the Ministry of Magic recommends the Wizarding community to take against Death Eaters.
Under point number 4, as you can see in the picture, it talks about security questions relatives and friends can ask each other to make sure they’re not talking to a Death Eater using Polyjuice Potion. Under point number 5, it advises witches and wizards to be cautious of strange behavior that someone might experience under the Imperius Curse.
What was interesting to me was that for the Polyjuice Potion warning it says see page 2 and for the Imperius Curse it says see page 4. Rowling is pointing the reader towards book 2, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, where we first learn about, brew and use Polyjuice Potion, and book 4, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, where we first learn about the Unforgivable Curses, starting with the Imperius Curse.
And it is because of these little golden nuggets that I will never be bored rereading this awesome series.
