I’ve always found the house point system kinda biased and very unregulated. Professor heads of houses shouldn’t be able to give points to their own house or take points away from other houses. They should really only be able to take points from their house and give points to other houses. Especially with how competitive Snape and Mcgonagall are. That way there isn’t any bias in terms of points being given or taken away. Many times in the books Snape takes points away from Gryffindor for little to no good reason. Of course this was just something small to make us, as the readers, dislike Snape like Harry, but still.
Two things, both involving quidditch: 1. The points system and rules are really weird. 2. There's literally only 7 players on the team total. It'd be like a basketball team having just 5 players. No substitutes, no backups, nothing. So Harry gets hurt... well, we lose. I get that she's not a sports person, but it just always struck me as odd.
I agree, and I think it's a byproduct of the quidditch rules being really weird.
I know what you're referring to. But the school quidditch teams listed 7 players total
This is a very British sounding response 🤣

My random brainstorm idea was make the snitch worth 50 and no longer ends the game, it just gets reset. Then, put a time limit on the match like every other sport.
