I’ve watched this movie like a dozen times now and I genuinely don’t understand what that entire scene was for. Like it’s just Christmas break and suddenly the Weasley house is just attacked by death-eaters? Then the Weasley house just burns down and it’s never mentioned again. I even remember being around eight and seeing that scene for the first time and being very confused why it’s never mentioned again.
I get the movies adding in scenes that weren’t in the book, but it didn’t even make sense, for a number of reasons, and (if I remember correctly) the Weasley house was fine by the Deathly Hallows 1. Movie. Was it just there to like, add tension? Dramatic effect?
