Should I stop to read the Harry Potter books first in the middle of watching the movies and then come back to watch them after?

Post Body

I am currently watching the Harry Potter movies and have gotten up to finishing the 3rd one, but I discovered that we have the entire Harry Potter book series in our house, and I was wondering if it would be better to stop watching the movies, read the series and then come back to make it better, or just finish the movies and then read the books which Iā€™m afraid would make them predictable and not as special. What do you think?

Not necessarily. I personally like the last 4 movies more than the books. Could be bc I read the books that it just made the movies better, but I preferred the changes the movies made and the things that were trimmed out. Ymmv
