I have a few reservations:
1) world building - does not seem to happen, even in some of the best books. They seem to want to jump into the sex right away.
2) sex - the sex in most harem lit novels seems to be written by people who have never had sex with multiple women, much less any woman. Why is the sex so "one note"
3) the women in every novel start out different and then wind up the same
4) monster girls - why are monster girls so pervasive. Not my thing, and I just avoid the books that include them, but it seems to be a majority. I'm really just wondering as there are plenty of others out there
5) so many spelling and grammar errors - yes, you can pick apart my post here as well but I'm not a pro.
I guess I had more than a few. The only real gripe is the women and sex being so one-dimensional. Other than that I love the genre but a book where the women are richer characters would be great.
Any book suggestions are welcome.
