I am an independently employed graphic artist. I have trouble being inspired and finding good opinions and friends. I have some less than prime quality examples on my website. I think I'd be more inspired if I was given an actual job as opposed to a sample as I've done some good stuff, to satisfaction of client or beyond, when given an actual assignment. I find it hard to be motivated which I believe probably stems from the fact when I used to do artwork I had a bunch stolen online and so I can't get myself worked up for a good project. Also, it's difficult to find a good friend to bounce an idea off of (e.g. I have a particular wallpaper I used as an example as I couldn't get one opinion, must less a few, on whether anyone, particularly patriots, might find it offensive. I mean obviously I don't want to offend people but its an example from a project for a roleplaying group so without an opinion I've used it and simply hoped for the best. Also, I've tried getting people to tell me opinions on pricing and the best answer I got it "I don't know." the rest were all no answer. I just like to have outside opinions on stuff like that, you know like an opinion poll) or possibly to give me a challenge once in a blue moon. On another note back when I did art I did some parodies of a few commercial products based on a video game franchise I like and people liked it and my artist comments, particularly a dunkin donuts parody. So, I feel like I got it in me if I could get a decent friend, particularly one who can help me with opinions that are honest not brown nosing or trolling and who could maybe once in a blue moon pass a challenge to me or listen to an idea once in a while. Please don't just upvote, PM me or respond. Thanks.
