Would it be crazy to build a frame saw instead of buying a dovetail saw?
Post Body

I really want to start trying dovetails and then I was curious if I could find a fine enough rip blade for a frame saw. I was also just looking at getting the veritas dovetail saw.

It’s just the frame saw looks really fun to build and versatile. That big roubo saw posted on here earlier was wild. Got me stoked on building even a smaller more conventional saw.

Does anyone do joinery with a frame saw?

Comments

Frame saws used to be the dovetail saw not that long ago... As with every project I usually prefer building than buying if I can afford it in terms of time, building new skills is priceless ....
