CZ75 EAA FAB92 slippery grip fix?
Post Body

Long ago I picked up an EAA FAB92 9mm, a very nice CZ75 knockoff. I'm considering replacing my M92 with it. The M92 is big and clunky, but mainly the trigger isn't nearly as nice as the FAB92, nor the sights. But the FAB92 has these polished wood slab grips that are horribly slippery. When I searched eBay for grips I discovered that since I last thought about grips the things have multiplied. There's also special grip tape and who knows what else! Suggestions on what's effective for EDC grip fix, not bulky?

An alternative would be for me to carve some nice grips. I have maple, mahogany, ash, and Brazilian rosewood. At least. If this might be a good thing, suggestions for a guide to fitting / shaping? The carving isn't any trouble, and I am sure I can checker or stipple just fine.

Suggestions very very welcome.

Thanks much
