I have my robo hamster for almost a month now and he is getting used to me, he recognizes my voice and comes out of his hiding spot when I call, he eats well, sleeps well and plays a lot. But when I get near him with my hand to clean the cage he always runs away and never gets near me. It's really hard to get him out of the cage to clean.

But I do clean the cage every week, I set up the playpen around the cage and open it so he can walk around. When I see that he is entertained I get the cage clean and put it again so he can come back.

But if I get near the playpen or cage he runs away at first and keeps itself hidden until I back off.
