My little boy <3 has been feeling unwell for a few days - he just seemed a bit depressed, wouldn't move much, so I took him to the vet.
Long story short, Dilatative Cardiomyopathy. He's already a bit old - 1 year and 3 months.
The vet(s) gave me different opinions. I got him treatment today - Enalapril - and Aspirin basically, but the main vet basically told me, if he responds to treatment, a few months - She said she has some hasmters who lived 3-4 months so....this didn't look great.
The other vet told me he can live almost a normal life..
I'm lost. I really, really don't want to lose him. Anyone has/had a hammy (especially dwarf/winter white) who lived months with this issue?
And if so, do you know what the treatment was so I can ask the vet as well
Please 🙏
