Hamster is only sitting in one place

I recently got my winter white hamster from the pet store because the nearest breeder was 2 states away and it’s the third day of having him. He has food and water and plenty of things to do in his enclosure but all he does is sit in the wheel and sit in the corner of his cage behind the wheel. Why does he do this? I don’t know if he moves other places at night since I am asleep. I am extremely worried about him.
