Ill be the first to admit Halo is very addicting for me. I feel good when I am winning and not good when I am losing. With the influx of players, the beat downs administered to myself are more frequent.
I keep noticing that my emotional state as a 44m is crappy when I am walking away from the game lately. I think I've logged 80 total hours in about 6 weeks, mainly team slayer, fiesta, and husky raid.
One thing I have started to do is box breathing during games to a count of 4. This is a widely recognized strategy for lowering the heart rate in stressful situations and is even a military grade technique. I find I am less angry and more level headed about losing or winning. Its a game , it should be enjoyable.
Anyways Spartans, namaste!
Love to hear how you all are handling the angst of the game!
