Is the cant hear actions behind me bug still being worked on?

Finally got my MCC to work again and remembered that I cannot hear anything that goes on behind me, looked up some posts about other users having the same issue and comments say that they are looking into it but those were from over a year ago. Has this been fixed and I just havent seen the solution or no?
